The RGD2127Z is a seven-string RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It was produced in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.

The RGD2127Z was one of the initial models in the RGD series, which features a body that is based on the RG series but adds bevels on the body edges and horns. The RGD models also have 26½” scale necks.

The RGD2127Z features a basswood body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include Ibanez V77 Custom and V87 Custom humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero 7 double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.

Ibanez is a Japanese guitar brand owned by Hoshino Gakki. Based in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, Hoshino Gakki were one of the first Japanese musical instrument companies to gain a significant foothold in import guitar sales in the United States and Europe, as well as the first brand of guitars to mass-produce the seven-string guitar and eight-string guitar. Ibanez manufactures effects, accessories, amps, and instruments in Japan, China, Indonesia and in the USA (at a Los Angeles-based custom shop).
